Common support areas include; pregnancy side effects, preparing for birth, recognising the signs of labour, feeding, understanding newborn behaviour, settling and sleeping.

    You can expect to hear from a midwife within 1 business day. If at the time of our call it’s not convenient to talk, we’ll arrange to call back at your preferred date and time.

How quickly can I speak to a midwife?

After you signup for the program, you can expect to hear from a midwife within 1 business day. If at the time of our call it’s not convenient to talk, we’ll arrange to call back at your preferred date and time.

If you have purchased a multi-call package, during your first call your midwife will explain when they will next contact you, and how you can get into contact with them if you need them.

Is the program a 24-hour service?

Our telephone and Skype support is not a 24-hour service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, dial 000 for an ambulance. If your question is urgent but not an emergency, Nurse-on-Call offers a 24-hour health advisory service.

What kind of support will my midwife provide?

Your personalised midwife can answer any questions or concerns relating to your pregnancy, postpartum health or newborn baby.

As well as our confidential phone support, we can also help you navigate your way through the health care system and refer you to reputable sources of information.

Does the 'Ask a Midwife' program include membership and access to the Nourish learning hub?

The 'Ask a Midwife' program includes complimentary bronze membership to the Nourish learning hub. You also have the option to add either a single session or multi-call package to any of our paid membership plans.
